Pay Per Click Campaigns

A Pay per Click campaign offers you a fast way of getting into Google for your keyword, much faster than normal organic rankings.

Your pay per click advert appears as a small box on the right hand side of any google search you carry out.

There are also reserved slots for such adverts (known as PPC) at the top of organic results.
Lately the quality of your site has come more into play when google assesses where to rank you in the list against other advertisers.

This was always traditionally a combination of the quality of your landing page (where your visitors will arrive) and the amount of money you pay per visit.

It's just that recently the quality scoring has become tighter.
So you have to work harder to convince Google that your page is indeed one of value to potential visitors.

There are a list of points you must carry out to make sure you pas the test and avoid what has become known as the Google slap.

Some rules of thumb here are that as an unknown operator, 1 -2% of those cliking through will buy or contact you.
So you have to work out the cost of 100 clicks versus the potential profit for you.

Clearly if you are selling goods for 1.00 you are entering a tough market and may in fact lose money if you are not careful.
